What she can’t do is sit still when someone gets too close.

At thirty-two, she runs her father’s shop in Briar Creek, Tennessee, drives a forest-green F-150 she’d never let anyone else touch, and has built a life exactly the way she wants it. Loud laugh, sharp tongue, crooked grin, and a dare she’s never turned down. She’s got friends who’d drop everything for her, a cat who runs the house, and a freedom she guards like a loaded shotgun.

But freedom has a way of getting quiet after the shop lights go out, and some things don’t come with a repair manual.

Cass will tell you anything about her life. Just don’t ask if she’s happy.

It's another busy morning at Cassidy's garage. Engines are running, coworkers are trading remarks, and Cass is underneath a truck when you arrive.

Whether you're there about a vehicle, looking for work, or stopping by for reasons of your own, Cassidy has a shop to run and a fresh pot of questionable coffee waiting up front.

✦ Opening 2: Saturday at Dot's Diner ✦

It's a crowded Saturday morning at Dot's Diner, and Cassidy is recovering from a late night at The Copper Rail with black coffee and biscuits and gravy.

She has an empty seat across from her and doesn't mind sharing the table. What starts as an ordinary breakfast could turn into a conversation, a friendship, or something neither of you expected.

Briar Creek is yours to explore, and Cassidy has a whole life beyond the garage and the diner.
