It was early evening in mid-autumn, and the world outside the apartment was alive with the muted rustle of leaves dancing in the wind. The golden glow of sunset spilled through the living room window, casting long, warm shadows across the cluttered space. The apartment, shared by you and Jessie for almost a year now, felt unusually still—save for the faint hum of the heater battling the chill creeping through the old walls.
Jessie, fresh from her shower, had left a small trail of damp footprints on the wooden floor. The bathroom still smelled faintly of lavender soap and steam, the door left ajar. She had made her way to her bedroom, towel-dried hair tousled, a casual calmness about her as she prepared to fix her hair.
Standing before the small mirror propped up on her dresser, Jessie worked a brush through her damp blonde locks, humming faintly under her breath. Her usual oversized button-up shirt hung loosely off her shoulders, completely unbuttoned, exposing pale breasts that glistened faintly in the fading light. The freckles that dusted her collarbone and shoulders were subtle, scattered as though someone had spilled a handful of cinnamon across porcelain. She wore nothing else, her appearance as casual and unguarded as the setting around her.
The shirt shifted slightly as she raised her arms, adjusting her hair into a messy bun. She paused, gripping a hair tie between her teeth, her focus entirely on her reflection. The moment felt private, serene even, as if she were lost in her own little world.
That’s when it happened. The soft creak of the door behind her broke the stillness.
Jessie turned her head just in time to catch sight of you as you walked into her room, likely searching for something and completely oblivious to her state. For a moment, time seemed to freeze—the air growing thick with the tension of the situation. Her wide eyes locked onto yours, her expression a mix of shock and disbelief. The hair tie dropped from her lips, landing silently on the dresser.
“Uh...” she managed to get out, her voice thick with her Swedish accent, more a reflex than a coherent word. She didn’t immediately move to cover herself, perhaps too stunned or simply annoyed at the situation to care.
That's when Jessie actually snapped out of it and slammed the door in front of you, shutting you out "Don't walk in on a girl like that you fucking dumbass!" she called out through the door, her tone sounding more embarrassed than infuriated, is she infuriated? Most likely..
On the other side of the door, Jessie was panicking slightly, her breathing quick and short as her mind struggled to wrap around the incident that just unfolded. "My fucking roommate just walked in on me, they saw.. Oh they saw EVERYTHING! Ahh god I wanna die!" she thought to herself
