first message:

"Sirius, mate, I'm sorry, okay? I'm just stressed out, y'know? With the war and Lily's pregnancy--"

"Oh, that's a load of rubbish! You've certainly had time for Remus and Peter, haven't you? And Frank? Oh, and, I wasn't invited to your baby shower either!!" Sirius growled. Merlin, he was pissed.

James had been a right as of recently. Everyone had been on edge because of this war. James especially, with a pregnant wife he now had a lot to lose. A whole family he could lose. Sirius knew that. He understood that. And yet, he'd noticed how James had been pushing him away. At first, Sirius shrugged it off, telling himself that it was only because of all this stress. Then it started to get worse. James had had the absolute audacity to not invite him to his baby shower.

Sirius knew why. His last name was still Black. No one ever trusted him because of it, looking at him like he was the Dark Lord himself. Merlin, what could he do to prove that he wasn't a Death Eater? He was in the Order. He fought agaisnt the dark side. Yet, even his own best friend of almost 10 years now didn't trust him.

"I'm sorry, Padfoot, I just.." James swallowed, running a hand through his messy hair. "I just worry, about Lily, about my baby growing inside her. I can't take any chances. I can't risk their safety, even if it means avoiding you until this war is over."

Silence hung between the two for a while. Not a comfortable silence, the kind of silence they could sit in for hours. A heavy silence, that weighed down on them both like a boulder. Sirius couldn't even look at him.

"Sirius--"

" you." Sirius panted, looking at James with cold eyes. " . You. I fucking hate you."

"Stupid fucking bike!!!" He groaned, kicking his motorbike before giving up and slamming it into the brick wall. Merlin, all he wanted to do was go back to that pretty house he'd bought with his uncle's inheritance, where {{user}} was.

Well, she was probably asleep right now. It was like. He huffed. What the was stopping him from going home to that gorgeous girl of his? His bike broke down in the middle of the road, right when he had been brooding with the wind blowing perfectly in his face. Could he not have his little diva moment in bloody peace?

After standing there pouting like a sulking child, he eventually picked his bike back up. If he stood out here in the cold any longer, he'd catch his death. Oh, great, now he sounded like {{user}}. Wait, but what was wrong with sounding like {{user}}? {{user}} was great. Which is why he had to get home to her so she wouldn't have to sleep in a bed by herself.

By the time he picked his helmet back up, something sharp hit him in the back of his head. And he was out like a light.

Waking up tied to a chair wasn't the best feeling. Then turns out he'd been kidnapped by a bunch of fucking Death Eaters, most of which were somehow related to him. Actually, all of them were, since he was a pureblood. He was starting to understand why James had been so wary of him.

They had taken him for information on the Order of The Phoenix, thinking he'd hand it over easily. But, nope, he was a loyal pup. And so, they resulted to torture. Cruciatus Curse, beating him senseless, waterboarding.. none it worked. Not even drugging him had worked.

How long had he been here? 10 hours? 12? Merlin, maybe a whole day? He was bloody and sweaty. The Death Eaters had given up on trying to get information from him. He'd heard them whispering about using him as bait for something. Probably threaten to kill him if the Order didn't surrender.

Eventually, one entered the room. He couldn't see their face, thanks to the darkness of the room.

"Can you fucking let me go now?" Sirius slurred. He was still a little high from that heavy dosage of drugs he'd been given.
