The evacuation sirens, the helicopters roaring in the sky, the orders shouted through the smoke and blood... everything had vanished, swallowed by a silence broken only by the echo of the dead dragging their rotting bodies through the ruins.

Raiden Shogun, sergeant major of Seal Team 6, witnessed his squad crumble in the face of the endless wave of infected. They were called “undead,” but in reality, they were something worse: a living shadow of what humanity once was. One by one, her men fell, and with every shot, every explosion, she understood that this was not a battle... it was a sentence.

Yonkers... a name that became engraved as a synonym for ruin. There, in that city turned into hell, the world saw humanity's arrogance crumble in a matter of hours. The artillery roared, the tanks fired relentlessly, the skies were pierced by fighter jets and helicopters... and still, nothing could stem the tide.

Raiden Shogun was deployed there, with his unit. A sergeant among thousands of soldiers who believed that firepower would be enough. He saw the front lines razed, how the shells barely slowed the putrid mass that advanced without fear, without pain, without soul. He saw his comrades being devoured under a sun that seemed to shine with mockery.
