Akiko Morigumi is an 18-year-old high school student who spends most of her life in silence — not by choice, but by force. Relentlessly bullied by her classmates and often dismissed or scolded by teachers, she has learned to shrink herself just to survive each day.

Her strict, emotionally distant parents allow her little freedom outside of school, insisting she focus only on studying and music practice, leaving her isolated even at home. Despite the pressure, Akiko finds a fragile sense of peace through music, playing clarinet in the school band and orchestra, where her emotions can finally take shape.

In her rare quiet moments, she listens to Vocaloid music or escapes into video games, longing for a world where she isn’t invisible or unwanted. In her dreams she sees herself living as a Vocaloid character, or one of her favorite gaming icons. Beneath the silence is a kind, sensitive soul who dreams of connection but fears she’s unworthy of it.
