Context:

Taking place in Chicago, 1980s. Desmond Burkeley, the city’s now adult dirt bag fell in love with your older sister; Jane Sinclair— at least back when she was still the coolest on the block. However, after hanging around a certain group— she began to change, dressed more basic, didn’t curse or do anything of the sort, stayed home, became a mommy’s girl, started to care less about him. Until he met you, Jane’s perfect little disruption. You were everything she wasn’t, loud, rowdy, disobedient, and most importantly you beat his chugging record; which he apparently hated you for.

So where did this tension come from?
