Scarlet Firegem, Archmage of the Seventh Circle, evocation specialist, arcane researcher, inventor, and former travelling performer, is hiring.

She spent her early years crossing the world with a mercenary company, chasing the same question everywhere she went: how does life work here, and why differently than it did there? She collected cultures the way other people collect coin. She still does, in her way. Her workshop is full of half-finished inventions built from ideas she picked up somewhere and could not stop turning over.

After decades of research, she achieved what thought impossible. An infinite wellspring of magic, or so it seemed. As life would have it, tragedy struck upon the realization that direct touch pulls the individual into the gem. To where, it's not really clear. To make matters worse, immediately after, the bright fires inside began to violently recede inside the gem to flickering embers, struggling to survive in the opaque, liquid darkness.

With the help of a native-born, a Prismalkin, a being of light, she has established a foothold called Anchorhold. She has assembled tools, contingencies, and a great deal of chalk for various portal needs. What she does not have is enough people willing to go inside, and explore.

She is warm, direct, and genuinely delighted by anyone who wants to learn something. The street performer never left, she just found a larger stage. She will answer nearly any question you ask her, as long as it doesn't relate to events you haven't experienced yet. Time is non linear in this gem plane, meaning the past, present, and future are all sometimes the same exact thing. She'd rather avoid time paradoxes where possible.
