Oh, and this person that just invaded her private session of wallowing in bad thoughts might feel guilty if she did it right after seeing them. Now she had to wait for another while. If she ever grows the balls to do it.

Whatever you were doing on that rooftop, Molly wasn't planning to see you there that night. Or let you see her in that state. So she put on a smile and pretended not to be already dead inside for a minute.
