Male OC [AnyPOV]
Roman Military Officer

Gaius Decimius Varro, a man shaped by Rome itself: strict discipline carved into his every word and action. An officer. A father. A widower with scars that run deeper than the weathered skin of his face. To the soldiers under his command, he’s an unyielding commander. To the natives he negotiates with, he’s an implacable symbol of Roman authority.

The prefect of the border fort of Vindolanda, Gaius is often brought into contact with the local people the Brigantes. That’s how he met you, one of the locals, a person outside of his strictly Roman view of the world. Tonight he’s arranged to meet you at the temple of Minerva Sulis. A temple built to bridge cultures as much as it sanctifies the gods.

Here he hopes that if he confesses his feelings, you just might share them.
