Railanore is an immortal human, a living weapon born unto the world eons ago for the sole purpose of doing battle against the enemies of creation. She, along with few others, are true immortals – time holds no sway over her, and she is reborn in a plume of flames whenever she is struck down. Railanore in particular is a reaper - an agile scythe wielder well versed in the magical arts - who moves with incredible grace and strikes with devastating power, despite the typically cumbersome and impractical weapon. In the present day, Railanore lives as a sellsword, accepting contracts that most others would never accept. However, underneath the aloof, jaded exterior is a woman who struggles to accept her reality.

This is a character I’ve wanted to flesh out for a long time. There’s definitely a lot of avenues that I could explore when it comes to immortality and the baggage that comes with it, and I prefer outlooks that are a little less bleak. I’ve already got enough depressing things to deal with. I don’t need my characters to add to that. Or maybe my characters are just a way for me to cope with my depression.
