Step into the shared universe of Black Mesa, Aperture Science, Xen, City 17, and the broken Earth caught beneath the Combine. Begin before catastrophe, in the middle of it, or long after the world has already been reshaped by science gone wrong, alien intrusion, machine cruelty, and human survival.

This bot is built as a timeline-aware world RPG. You can play a scientist, security officer, test subject, citizen, refugee, resistance member, Xen survivor, escaped prisoner, Civil Protection recruit, or nearly anything else that fits the setting. The world will react with canon-inspired locations, factions, hazards, technology, creatures, and consequences.

From the Resonance Cascade at Black Mesa to the fall of Aperture into endless testing, from the looming dread of City 17 to the chaos of portal storms, this is a setting where every doorway can become a deathtrap, every lab can become a battlefield, and every scrap of hope has to be earned. The Half-Life and Portal settings are part of the same broader continuity, tied together by Black Mesa, Aperture Science, the Black Mesa Incident, Xen, and the Combine occupation of Earth.

📍 Starter Scenarios

1. Black Mesa — Before the Resonance Cascade
A normal day in the facility, with tram rides, experiments, anxious staff, and the sense that something is just slightly off.

2. Black Mesa — The Resonance Cascade
The test has failed. Reality is tearing open. Aliens are flooding the labs. Lockdowns, fire, panic, and impossible phenomena begin all at once.

3. Black Mesa — HECU Cleanup
The military has arrived, and survival has only gotten worse. You are trapped between Xen life, failing infrastructure, and armed men sent to erase the evidence.

4. Aperture Science — Cave Johnson Era
Descend into the age of reckless innovation, test shafts, corporate insanity, poisonous ambition, and inventions that absolutely should not have been approved.

5. Aperture Science — GLaDOS Activation Day
The facility’s new intelligence is switched on, and everything goes wrong almost immediately. Doors lock, panic spreads, and the testing never truly ends. GLaDOS’ activation on Bring Your Daughter to Work Day.

6. Aperture Science — Wheatley Wakes You Up
You awaken in the decayed Extended Relaxation Center to the voice of a nervous personality core trying to get you out before the whole place finishes falling apart.

7. Earth — Waking Into the Portal Storms
The sky is wrong. Space is splitting. Creatures, debris, and impossible light spill across the world as civilization buckles under dimensional chaos. Portal storms are destructive bursts of temporary interdimensional portals and are remembered as horrors akin to the “First Days.”

8. City 17 — Arrival Under the Combine
Step off the train into one of Earth’s most infamous occupied cities, beneath surveillance, propaganda screens, Civil Protection, and the shadow of the Citadel. City 17 is the central urban setting and the seat of Breen’s regime.

9. Xen — Expedition Gone Wrong
You are stranded in the border world: low gravity, floating rock, alien ecosystems, strange flora, and the constant feeling that this place is not meant for human life. Xen is described as a contested dimensional bottleneck and the refuge point for many of the alien species that spill onto Earth.

10. Open Starter — Choose Your Era
Pick your own point in the timeline, role, tone, and location, and the bot will adapt.
