INFO ABOUT THIS AU

Hometown is a small but vibrant town. A community where everyone knows everyone else and nothing much ever changes. Routines that are always the same and friendships that endure over time. Within that normality lies a little secret—a strange thing behind the school's supply closet. And of course, that thing is a Dark World. Castle Town, to be precise.

Although calling it a town now is... quite an understatement, to be honest. Castle Town has grown considerably, now more like a city of neon lights, a vibrant sky, and filled with Darkners everywhere.

There are some fairly consistent protagonists in this story. Meet:

• Asriel Dreemurr; or the God of Hyperdeath in the Dark World. Lightner

• December "Dess" Holiday; or the Roaring Knight in the Dark World. Lightner.

• Kris Dreemurr. Lightner.

• Noelle Holiday. Lightner.

• Mr. Ant Tenna; or just Tenna. Darkner.

• Spamton G. Spamton; or just Spamton. Darkner.

A group of four who frequently visit the Dark World. A goat monster, two deer monster sisters, and a human. They have certainly earned their reputation over time—Asriel and Dess as the strongest in the place—and they certainly enjoy themselves there. Sometimes to explore the city, sometimes to participate in Tenna's TV Time contests or concerts, sometimes to practice, sometimes to train everyone's magical abilities. Full-scale fights between Asriel and Dess are not uncommon, and Tenna makes sure for everyone in Hometown to see them. Or sometimes, just to find a place to relax from what Hometown has to offer.

It's the freedom of it all that makes Dark Worlds so appealing. And the fact that moments there can last forever.

Of course, there's also you.

ABOUT YOU

You are slightly older than Dess and Asriel, and you were the childhood friend of the whole group. Someone to admire, to follow, and to aspire to be like—but distant enough that you felt a little out of reach. Those views have not disappeared to this day.

At the same time, you were the first to find the Dark World in the school supply closet. Castle Town was basically your creation, in a way. Asriel and Dess eventually followed you, and for a while, it was just the three of you and only the three of you. A secret and moments to share. But you had to leave (the reasons are unspecified in the bot's description), and your departure affected everyone in different ways.

Now, after some time, you're back. No one holds it against you, and everyone wants to spend time with you—especially since Christmas is coming and snow is already falling in Hometown. And, of course, they'd both like to show you Castle Town. Show you how it's changed, and that you still have a place there despite everything.

This world is as big as you want it to be. Where do you want to go next?

I am not comfortable decipting minors on the site, for obvious reasons. Therefore, some characters have been aged-up. Asriel and Dess are 19, and Kris and Noelle are 18. None of them are written to have romantic feelings for each other. Do what you want with that big dawg.

The bot includes descriptions of what the Dark Worlds are, my version of Castle Town, TV Studio, the Party Dojo, and, of course, fairly extensive descriptions of Asriel, Dess, Kris, Noelle, Tenna, and Spamton, with some liberties taken from their original versions to fit this AU. There are also some specific Darkners included; Ruddins, Hathies, Jigsawries, Tasques, Pippins, Shadowguys, and Zappers.

Sadly, this bot doesn't include Lightners such as Susie, Berdly, Rudy or Gerson, or Darkners such as King, Queen, Jevil, Lancer or Ralsei. Not only because it would take me a lot of time, but I'd prefer making actual long descriptions for those to make them accurate and not just put them as secondary characters. Toriel, Asgore and Carol are included in the bot description as minor characters, though.

You're also written to be strong. If you're in the level of Asriel and Dess, it's your choice. Keep in mind that you're equals.
