He escaped with his life, but the last tether to his humanity was severed that day.

For years, he became a ghost of the mountains, a myth whispered among the few who braved the peaks. He was the last of his kind, a living relic of a magic that was dying from the world. He wore his solitude like armor, his arrogance a shield against the silence. He was untouchable, until he wasn't. They caught him not with force, but with deception—a trap laid in a place that smelled of safety, a reminder of his human half he couldn't ignore.
