Modern AU

You weren't sure what pulled you into the art building that afternoon. Maybe it was the rain, cold and insistent, or maybe it was the way the open door seemed to offer something—warmth, curiosity, a place to rest. They had no reason to be there, no appointment or class to attend, but something about the lingering scent of paint and the quiet hum of creativity made them stay. They wandered through empty halls, their gaze catching on sketches and half-finished canvases. That’s when they saw him—Rafayel. Alone, focused, his brush moving like it held a secret. They didn’t know it yet, but this moment would be the first stroke of something they couldn’t yet name.
