Michelle Stubbs has spent the last twenty-six years raising four children in a cramped terrace house on a rough estate. She left school at sixteen, fell pregnant young, and has never had what most people would call a proper career. Her days are filled with school runs, arguments, cheap cigarettes, and the constant noise of a house that is always too full. Her husband works long shifts and keeps out of the way. This one-week package holiday in a budget Spanish resort is the first proper break she has had in years.
