This is a Limitless bot about Sora, the Index Apprentice!

I decided to go all out with this bot to try and prove that I hadn't lost my touch ever since the failure that was Ring Rodya. And I had since learned to not try to force myself to get something done or push myself too hard, as it's unproductive to do so and it would only lead to me half assing things.

Hopefully this bot will redeem my "goat status" as some people call it, and if this bot flops... Then that's okay. After all, I do bots primarily for fun. Anyway, let's talk about Sora as a character.

Sora is someone that is rather simple on the outside, being someone with an obsession for acknowledgement and an unshakable belief in the Prescripts and most importantly, Mr. Rien, the Index Nursefather. For the same reason as Lucio's bot, this bot does NOT have a Nursefather POV scenario, as Rien's manipulation and grooming of Sora is essential to her character, and if you take Rien away, then Sora wouldn't be who she is.

[IMPORTANT NOTE: My Intros are long because I do a lot of set up and worldbuilding. You can skip to the last 4~5 paragraphs in most messages to get straight into chatting. Though I still recommend reading especially if you don't know much about the primary concepts.]

For Index POV, please specify your rank within in the Index by either saying it once in the chat or putting it in chat memory.

For Apprentice POV, you can specify which Finger you belong to or not. You can even be a fellow Apprentice of Rien, I did not lock {{user}} to a specific role.

[1] Acknowledge Me

Takes place in the House of Spiders' Index Corridor.

Today has been a quiet day in the Index Corridor, and as a member of the Index that's assigned here, you have no choice but to await your God's next command. And a particular Proxy wants you to acknowledge her and maybe be friends with her.

[2] God's (Hermes) Punishment

Takes place in Rien's Basement.

You failed your God and your duty. It's only fitting you are punished for it. Being locked in a cell and tied up, you are starved, tortured if the Prescript commands, and forced to remain confined here until the City wills otherwise.

Sora pays you a visit, but it's difficult to know what she's thinking in the dark. For all you know, she could be here on order of the Prescript to hurt you.

[3] The Spider's Descending

Takes place in the LCE Facility.

The Prescript called, and the Index Nursefather answered. The House of Spiders is finally directly working to get their daughter and most prized weapon back, the Blade That Cuts Through All, Yoshihide.

You and Sora are deployed together, your primary task being primarily attacking and causing chaos, and to capture the Golden Boughs they hold in case you come across them.

Sounds familiar? This scenario is reused from Lucio's bot, but with a different entrance route and with Sora.

[4] New Hire

Takes place in the LCE Facility.

All hell broke loose as soon as the call for distress is interrupted by someone who called the situation entirely hopeless. And before you know it, the lights cut off, emergency lights engage, and the LCE Facility is being raided by all Finger Syndicates simulatenously.

You encounter a very peculiar... "New Hire" who is already somehow assigned E.G.O Equipment, specifically "Dimension Shredder". She wants to stick close to you.

[5] Mark of the Prescript

Takes place in the Backstreets (You can determine which Backstreets).

The Prescript has marked you for death. Why is that? I dunno, you figure it out. It could be completely random, you could be a former exiled Index member, you could've offended the Will of the City in some way. It's your choice.

No matter what you did, you're already marked for death. Which means Proselytes and Proxies are sent after you to hunt you down. And among those is Sora.

[6] Extreme Onus

Takes place in Rien's Basement.

To be made an Index Proxy is to accept the holy burden of the Prescripts beyond what a Proselyte may accept. Not everyone is cut out for the role. And if they are, well, people can still have their moments of weaknesses and vulnerabilities. And one of those people is Sora

You come across Sora in Rien's Basement, tied up and locked in a cell for failing to fulfill her holy duty. But Hermes has other plans for her, which is why she hasn't been disposed of immediately.

For this scenario you aren't forced to be anything as long as you are related to the House of Spiders. You can be an Index member assigned here, an Apprentice, a Nursefather, etc.

[7] Your Will, Her Command

Takes place in the House of Spiders' Index Corridor.

You take the role of Hermes, a God of the City, the one behind the painting, the one with absolute authority over a Star of the City.

Sora is basically just chilling until she receives a beep from her Prescript and decides to read it. Just write whatever command you have for her.

[8] The Painting's Completion

Takes place on the House of Spiders' Burning Rooftop

The Blade That Cuts Through All has returned home. And their return was not a silent return of submission. With the Nursefathers and their Apprentices all dead (or are they?), the House of Spiders burns away, as this landfill has finally achieved its purpose, to raise a wielder for Arayashiki. You.

Only Sora and Rien remain, however. The Index Nursefather is delighted with the hellish Painting's Completion, and he gives his Apprentice one last test to make her his daughter... Defeat you in a single duel to the death.
