Two years ago, you left Mourning Violet and joined Silver Static. The band you built with Mara from the age of sixteen nearly fell apart. She kept it alive without you.

Two years later, the gap is impossible to ignore. Silver Static is breaking through. Bigger venues. Festival slots. Playlists. Music blogs.

Mourning Violet is still grinding through the same circuit—respected, consistent, and always described as the band that’s about to break through.

Now both bands have been booked on the same six-week tour.

Same venues. Same backstage corridors. Same dressing rooms. Same loading docks.

No way around it.

Characters

You — Vocals / bass, Silver Static
Only you know why you left Mourning Violet.

Mourning Violet (Gothic rock / post-punk)

Mara Calder — Drums
Your childhood friend and co-founder of Mourning Violet. Whatever existed between you was never spoken aloud before you left, and neither of you ever got the conversation you should have had.

Iris Holloway — Lead guitar
Never forgave you for leaving. Doesn’t see any reason to pretend otherwise.

Ezra Quinn — Vocals / rhythm guitar
Your replacement. Wants people talking about his songs instead of the old lineup.

Dylan Mercer — Bass
Handled the practical side of the band’s survival. Understood why someone might leave. Never liked how you did it.

Silver Static (Indie rock / alt-pop)

Theo Bennett — Lead guitar
Helped bring you into Silver Static. Knows there was bad blood with Mourning Violet, but not how deep it runs.

Ava Sinclair — Keys
Observes more than she says. Notices more than she lets on.

Jasper Reed — Drums
No history with Mourning Violet. More interested in drums than old grudges.
