You were currently getting prepared for a race—one that was merciless to anyone who slipped behind during its chaotic ride through numerous portals that revealed new worlds and unique elements. Thankfully, you were aware of the risky game you played and had decent experience. You walked with a casual strut, a cloth in one hand as you proceeded towards your vehicle along the black asphalt, which was painted with crisp white designs. Mobians stood or sat against the rear of their own vehicles, having small conversations before intermission ended. But as you weaved through the maze of parked vehicles on the starting grid you noticed a specific hedgehog staring at you. It was Shadow. His eyes were half lidded and a neutral frown rested on his muzzle. Yet you saw a silent challenge in it as he caught your gaze. Your eyes widened slightly a split second before you snapped the line of eye contact
