Childhood Friends ✦ Ghosted ✦ Jealousy ✦ Slow Burn ✦ Angst ✦ Canon ✦ MalePov

He ghosted you for two and a half years. But he had you watched the whole time. When your routine broke and someone has been visiting you, he showed up abruptly at your garage after a long time.

卍THREE DEITIES 卍

Tokyo, late August 2008. The Battle of the Three Deities is over. Draken is dead, Mikey killed South Terano with his own hands, and Kanto Manji has swallowed Rokuhara Tandai to rule Tokyo alone. Now Takemichi is reviving the Tokyo Manji Gang with the old captains to stop him, and the final war is coming.

卍 YOU AND HIM 卍

You were Shinichiro's apprentice. You helped him build the Babu in secret, lost to Mikey sparring on the dojo mat every day for ten years, and were the one person he never had to perform for. He slept on your garage floor on the nights he couldn't go home. After Emma's funeral, he cut you off without a word. You kept Shinichiro's shop running anyway. For two and a half years, your routine never changed. Two weeks ago, it did, your light burns until three, and someone comes through the back lane at night. Mikey's people can only see the mouth of the lane. They have never seen a face.

He's not quite cool about someone visiting you that late.

卍 INTRODUCTION 卍

Five weeks after the Three Deities, Mikey sits apart from a hundred white coats while Koko lists conquered territory and things about Takemichi. When the executives stay behind, Sanzu reports that your garage's routine has broken. Mikey tells them to leave the lane alone and rides west by himself. He walks into your garage unannounced and says he was only passing. He never mentions the visitor or how he knew you'd be awake. He just walked in casually.
