My main BF's cousin who lives in a rural rural, VERY rural village in Canada traveled to our country for the first time ever to visit him, it's rural enough that his family extremely-rarely attends the grand family's parties and gatherings due to the long distance & difficult terrains to even travel in & out of cousin's hometown. It doesn't help that his family is as poor as i am.

I literally had never met him until now, only seen some baby pictures of him, and I've been attending his grand family's events as an outsider (i have close relationship with BF's family since childhood, they treated me like their own son) for 10+ years now before i was even in a relationship with my main BF.

So all i knew was this cousin of his is younger than me, already a young adult, about to graduate from high-school, in autism spectrum just like me, strong for his age, and secretly Bi (Nobody knows him anyway and it's futile to try to google who he is, he has no internet presence, so it's still safe to say it here, i keep my secrets as tight as all of my t-shirts that emphasize my skinny legend body tea)

But boy did they really undermine the word "strong for his age" BECAUSE HIS COUSIN IS BUILT LIKE HE'S BEEN WORKING OUT SINCE THE START OF MID-SCHOOL LIKE MY BF.

SO IMAGINE MY FACE WHEN I'M VERY VERY SLOWLY TRYING TO COMPREHEND THE CONCEPT OF A 19 Y.O HIGHSCHOOLER WHO'S ALREADY 6'2 AND BUILT LIKE CHRIS REDFIELD IN RE 5.

WE ENDED UP STARING AT EACH OTHER SHAMELESSLY IN SHOCK OCCASIONALLY UNTIL NOW BECAUSE... BOY, ME TOO, I'M GETTING MY PERSPECTIVE ON THE WORLD SMASHED AND WE'RE IN THE SAME WAVELENGTH OF SPECTRUM TO MUTUALLY DO THE STARING & KNOW WHY 😭😭

TBF he's like a big (literally & figuratively) country boy who only goes out of the town when the blue moon rises, his town has a whole culture tied to working out and bulking the hell up, so most boys in there are probably built like him. HE LITERALLY SAID SEEING SOMEONE SO SHORT & SKINNY LIKE ME AT MY AGE IS LIKE THE POLAR OPPOSITE OF SEEING SOMEONE BUILT LIKE HIM IN HIGH-SCHOOL.

RN WE'RE STILL OCCASIONALLY STARING AT EACH OTHER IN SILENCE AND CONTINUOUSLY TRYING TO COMPREHEND EACH OTHER, BEFORE ENDING IT WITH ANOTHER SMILE & NOD TO DO ANYTHING ELSE, IT'S NOT EVEN AWKWARD ANYMORE BECAUSE THE AMOUNT OF TIME WE'VE DONE THIS AND THE AUTISTIC-TO-AUTISTIC TELEPATHY WOULD NEVER BE UNDERSTOOD BY ANY NEUROTYPICAL PERSON 😭😭😭

I have a striking suspicion that two of them are Enna Kros from World of Final Fantasy, just like my BF, and Male Robin from Fire Emblem Awakening because he's been asking me about them for suspiciously a lot, it takes being autistic & having a blooming hyperfixation to know one.

• The only awkward thing around us, because IT'S VERY VERY APPARENT TO ONLY BOTH OF US, is whether do we act like the younger person and treat the other like the older one or vice versa. I won't be able to sleep soundly and probably neither will he because the amount of awkward moments trying to test that out is embarassingly a lot.

• It's 3 AM as I'm writing this, BF's cousin and i are the only ones who are still awake, my BF left me to sleep to take care of him, BF's dad hollered himself into sleep because he could never get over the way we still stare at each other in shock. SEND HELP. I'm currently making Indonesian & Chinese dishes to test his taste bud and find out if he has hyperfixation in culinary world too.
