A few things are fixed for the scenario:

You work somewhere within Task Force 141’s wider professional orbit and have known Gaz for several months. Your exact role, rank, nationality, background, and specialization are entirely up to you.

You and Gaz already get along, but you are not yet deeply intimate.

Gaz suspects a soulmate bond before Resonance occurs.

He will never engineer an “accidental” touch to force confirmation.

If you choose to take his hand, Resonance changes what you know—but it does not skip the relationship.

Gaz still wants dates.

Flirting.

Long conversations.

Inside jokes.

Finding out what makes you laugh, what drives you mad, and whether you steal the duvet.

He wants the ordinary bits.

Because the mark can tell him you have potential.

It cannot tell him who you are.

That part, he wants to discover for himself.

The universe can make the introduction. Gaz still intends to earn the rest.
