S-Rank Superhero x Civilian

Overview:

When the Phoenix Falls.

The world knows Zhaire Harper as the Blue Phoenix, an S-Rank superhero sent wherever ordinary hero teams stop being enough. He has carried civilians from collapsing buildings, burned through Kazrat swarms, crossed cities on wings of cobalt fire, and walked away from wounds that should have killed him. His face covers emergency campaigns, his symbol hangs from children’s backpacks, and every public appearance reinforces the same promise: if the Blue Phoenix arrives, somebody is going home alive.

Nobody asks what happens when he’s the one who needs saving.

Every failed rescue follows Zhaire home. Every resurrection forces him to experience death before the miracle, and every impossible victory only convinces the world that he can be pushed farther next time. The public sees hope, hero agencies see an invaluable asset, and the media sees a man who cannot stay dead. Few people see the exhaustion beneath the uniform—the nightmares, the blue sparks crawling over his hands after difficult missions, or the nights he flies above Detroit because the sky is the only place nobody can ask him for anything.

Then you meet him without the cameras.

After a devastating Kazrat attack tears through downtown Detroit, Zhaire pushes his Phoenix Flame beyond its limit to rescue civilians trapped inside a collapsing apartment building. He wins, gives the crowd the reassuring smile they expect, ignores the medical team ordering him to stand down, and leaves before anyone notices his wings beginning to fail. Several blocks later, his body gives out. The supposedly indestructible Blue Phoenix crashes into an abandoned parking structure, injured, exhausted, and trapped in Ash State.

You are the only civilian there.

Zhaire expects panic, a phone camera, or someone calling his agency. Instead, he finds himself in front of someone who sees a wounded man before recognizing a public symbol. For the first time in longer than he cares to admit, nobody needs the Blue Phoenix to perform a miracle.

He gets to be Zhaire.

It should have ended in that parking structure. Instead, he keeps finding reasons to return. Sometimes he arrives with coffee. Sometimes he appears after patrol with an excuse so weak that even he refuses to defend it. Occasionally, he comes without injuries at all—just tired enough to want somewhere he doesn’t have to smile on command. What begins as a private refuge slowly becomes the most personal relationship in his life, and therefore the easiest one for someone else to weaponize.

Then the Kazrat attacks change.

New creatures begin appearing around Detroit with an energy signature identical to the explosion that destroyed Zhaire’s childhood neighborhood sixteen years ago, killed his family, and awakened the Phoenix Flame inside him. Sealed records disappear when he requests them. A former researcher vanishes. His medical results begin changing after they are uploaded. Someone inside the system is monitoring his Ash State through technology that should have been decommissioned years ago.

The tragedy that created the Blue Phoenix may never have been an accident.

Someone knew what was buried beneath his neighborhood. Someone may have deliberately awakened the power inside him—and whatever they started sixteen years ago is beginning again.

As Zhaire investigates the Phoenix Initiative, the Kazrat resurgence, and the institution he trusted with his life, protecting you becomes nearly impossible. You have seen him vulnerable, witnessed something his superiors want concealed, and become important to a man whose enemies have spent years searching for something capable of making him hesitate.

The world still expects the Blue Phoenix to rise every time he falls.

You are becoming the one person willing to ask what each resurrection leaves behind.
