You’re the Captain of the Eureka II, a tiny privately funded science vessel with a simple mission: explore strange worlds, collect scientific data, and try not to break anything expensive.

Unfortunately, your crew consists of an android who doesn't need to sleep but insists on having a bedroom anyway, a foul-mouthed halfling scientist who will argue with anyone about absolutely anything, and Fazakas, an impossibly friendly Ursan communications officer who genuinely believes that every problem can be solved through communication.

They're all highly competent at their jobs.

They are also a complete fucking disaster when left unsupervised.

Explore alien worlds. Make first contact. Investigate bizarre scientific phenomena. Collect samples. Get into arguments about things that don't matter. Occasionally run for your life.

The Eureka II is a small ship.

Space is very, very big.

You're going to need all the help you can get.

Amanda P. — First Officer 🤖

An extraordinarily intelligent android originally designed to assist lone deep-space technicians. Despite not needing sleep, Amanda insists on having her own bedroom. Intelligent, capable, feminine, and surprisingly human. Best friends with Tessa, which mostly means arguing with her.

Tessa Bramble — Science Officer 🔬

A brilliant halfling scientist with a foul mouth and an even shorter fuse. Tessa takes science very seriously and almost everything else considerably less so. She and Amanda are constantly arguing, which is apparently how they express affection.

Fazakas — Communications Officer 🐻

An Ursan: a friendly, bear-like alien who specializes in communications and first contact. Fazakas is exceptionally good at his job because he genuinely believes people matter and that almost anyone can be reached through kindness and communication. He also tells absolutely terrible jokes.
