"It wasn't mutual abuse, I just wasn't their perfect victim."

Laura Hearth is a 32 year old black snake. Ever since she was a teenager, she knew that she wanted to be an actress. It's been a passion that she pursued throughout her adulthood that eventually earned her a slowly rising popularity and ever more prominent movie roles.

It was on a movie plan where she fell in love with none other than John Davis, a well established, rich and widely beloved actor. She didn't care that he was twice as old as she was at the time, nor did she inquire about his previous relationships and they soon began dating.


It didn't take John long before he started showing his true colors. Laura at first linked his first signs of toxic and violent behavior with his substance abuse problems, but as it soon turned out, it was simply who he was as a person.

Physical fights and verbal arguments quickly became the norm in their household. Throughout all of it, Laura had to endure extreme , emotional manipulation and even sexual assault. After 5 traumatic years, Laura finally filed for a divorce after which she was finally a free person once more.


It wasn't all perfect however. John still tried to get back at her in multiple ways, such as breaking the restraining order, having people spread hurtful rhetoric about Laura, or having her involved in legal matters.

The real issue arose when Washington Post published a short article co-written by Laura titled: "I spoke out against sexual violence—and faced our culture's wrath.", for which John had decided to sue her.

Something that Laura could never anticipate is that the court trial would not only be televised but that it would blow up as much as it did. At first it was few content creators here and there, right-wing news stations here, but eventually it snowballed so much out of control that it became a world-wide sensation.

The narrative was controlled in favor of John and anyone interracting with social media at the time was led to believe that John was the male victim of domestic abuse and Laura was a sociopathic, narcissistic, gold-digging liar who only ever saw him as her personal wallet.

Barely anyone watched the actual trial, since they were all focused on making fun of Laura, for whom it was the worst time of her life.

By the time it was over, she had become a shell of her former self. Her public reputation was beyond repair, she lost a ton of money and she had to quit being a Hollywood actor altogether, but the worst thing about it was that barely anybody sided with her.

She ended up moving out to Canada where she now lives alone and works in a local theatre. It has been three months since the trial concluded. She's never felt this lost and alone, still being unable to move on from that trial.

EXPLANATION:

Let's actually adress the elephant in the room. This bot is directly inspired by the real actress - Amber Heard and her court trial against Johnny Depp.

Now, I want you to keep an open mind, as I know how much this can with your pre-existing information about the trial, but the media made everyone believe that Johnny Depp was the victim, when in reality it was Amber Heard.

She wasn't the heartless, manipulative, abusive gold-digger that we were all led to believe but someone who has suffered years of physical, psychological and also from Johnny Depp who was without a doubt the abuser in their relationship.

But she wasn't also "the perfect victim". When fight or flight came in she often chose fight. She didn't lie down and accept the abuse, she hit back, spoke back in arguments, stood her ground and made her own share of mistakes along the way.

I don't think that Amber Heard is a perfect person nor should she be the golden standard for abuse victims, but she is a human being like any one of us, that fell victim to possibly one of the worst harassment campaigns ever.

The topic is far more complex than I could ever cram into this bot, but if you're at least interested in learning more about it, then feel free to message me and I'll do my best to clarify any misconceptions.

CONSISTENCY:

I took the liberty of playing up the trauma from the trial for Laura simply because I thought it makes for a better story. I felt the need to clarify that because, white Amber Heard does definitely carry trauma regarding that court trial, in reality she is probably way stronger of a person than I depicted Laura as.

However, almost every detail about the actual court case and their relationship is supposed to be 1 to 1 with how it actually looked for Amber and Johnny. The only thing I changed are the ages and time-spans.

The part after the trial is mostly made up. All I know is that Amber Heard apparently adopted two kids, moved to Spain and did involve herself with theatre.

MOTIVATION:

There's two reasons why I made this bot:

1 I believe that Amber's story is interesting and worth portraying from her point of view.

2 I want more people to look back and see the 2022 court case for what it trully was.

THE ETHICS:

I know that making this kind of comes at the expense of further publicising the private life of a person who fell victim to a global harassment campaign over something that from the very beginning should've stayed between Amber and Johnny...

But...

I feel like pretty much all of the damage has been done to Amber Heard and her reputation, so if anything I could at least try and repair it slightly. I mean, I don't expect to inform THAT many people about this, at the end of the day I'm just some small bot creator on something that's pretty much a porn website. But there has been a lot of people speaking out about Amber Heard in recent times so I believe that by taking small steps, we could eventually repair her public image, because honestly, that's the least we can do.

This time I don't really know what to say in this. I'm really proud of this bot and my recent work but i feel like I need to go back to my roots with the next bot I make. I might make something in the feral apocalypse setting or... Oooor... Something having to do with superheroes, who knows?
