Hi, friends! Lets chat

First of all, I'm not quitting bot making. I know I've lagged with it, but I still have stories I want to tell and worlds that I want to create. This is to address the recent things that have come to light. I won't be explaining here, as other creators have already, and I don't feel I have enough information to properly explain everything.

This is the TL;DR for anyone that doesn't want to read all of what I have to say:

1. I won't be quitting Jani or deleting my account.

2. I'll be uploading to alternate sites as well as Jani.

3. My content will be shifting a bit.

4. I will no longer be advertising my content the way I was.

Okay, now that you have a TL;DR, let me break everything down.

I'm not quitting Jani. This site is where I started, where I made friends, and where I learned so much about others and their experiences. I love this site, even when it has been darker.

That being said, I need to acknowledge how absolutely goddamn toxic this place can be.

I've been in communities that ended in drama and bullying. The witch hunting on here has left me absolutely shocked in the past. I've seen people quit over mistreatment, people driven to mental health crises (including myself), and vile behavior from people in a community that's meant to be about creation.

Not only does the moderation and running of the site need to change, but how people treat one another needs to change. There are people behind every screen, someone who will see the comments you leave. Put yourself in their shoes. How would you feel if you received the comment that you're about to send?

No drama is worth possibly driving someone to end their own life. Ever.

That being said, I'm going to be posting on other sites as well. I still need to finish setting everything up while learning the UI, but I'm excited to branch out and learn new sites.

I've decided I'm just going to post what I want, when I want. I turned this into a job for myself by telling myself that I had to follow a certain schedule/post certain bots. I'm losing the love for creating, and in order to get it back, I'm going to just let myself have fun.

Advertising. It's a hell of a thing. I've been posting in 15+ servers each time I create a bot. I'm tired, and I'm going to limit it to a handful of servers that I'm comfortable in. I'll be putting a list of servers you can find me in if you want to hang out or chat.
