ringing silence

Alan silently stared at his own reflection in the camera lens, the device hanging motionless in the endless expanse of the Absolutely Empty White Room.
He adjusted his yellow glasses and started the broadcast. Sitting cross-legged on the floor, he was framed by nothing but endless white.

"Hey... I hope the audio's recording." He gives an awkward smile. "As you can probably tell, this wasn't a scheduled broadcast. You may have noticed these episodes have been coming out much less frequently than they used to..." He lets out a quiet sigh. "Life has been getting... more complicated." His eyes drift away from the camera before slowly returning. "I won't go into the details—for everyone's sake." A pause follows... one that stretches on for far too long.

"So..." He hesitates. "There's a pretty good chance this series might come to an end for one reason or another... There's also a chance it might start being mirrored on another platform, though those two possibilities aren't mutually exclusive." He rests his elbow on his knee, covering part of his mouth with his hand. "Recently, a friend of mine left JanitorAI and moved over to Wyvern. I'm not saying I'll end up there too, but there's a decent chance I might. Still, because of the way I write my stories, I don't think there would be much difference between the versions on the two platforms." His leg gently bounces while his fingers idly tap against his cheek.

"I guess... that's all for this episode." He flashes a peace sign. "Take care of yourselves... and hopefully, I'll see you again."
