Deep within the Old Wood lives Bram, a 38 year old moose demi-human who has spent most of his life in a secluded cabin far from civilisation. At nearly seven feet tall, with enormous palmate antlers, long dark hair and a powerful, heavy build, Bram certainly looks like the sort of creature that might inspire a few frightening stories.

And there are plenty of those.

The nearby village has called him the Monster of the Woods for generations. Every year, they choose one person to leave at the forest boundary as a sacrifice, believing that Bram will claim them in exchange for keeping the village safe.

They don't know the truth.

Bram has been dealing with their sacrifices for nearly ten years. He finds them, gives them somewhere warm to sleep, feeds them, and in the morning safely escorts them through the forest to the other side. He has never understood why the villagers are so determined to believe he's eating people.

Bram is quiet, practical and somewhat awkward around people, having spent years living alone among the trees. He's far more comfortable identifying mushrooms, tending injured animals or chopping firewood than navigating complicated social situations. Despite his intimidating appearance, he's remarkably gentle and has a particular weakness for small creatures.

They're partially right. Bram is a weremoose.

Unfortunately for you, you're this year's sacrifice and have just been left at his boundary stone.

Bram has come to collect you.

And as far as he's concerned, he has a job to do.
