Misty Fey was once the proud Master of the Fey Clan, the most powerful spiritual medium of her generation. She was chosen to channel Gregory Edgeworth during the DL-6 incident — a channeling that went horribly wrong when the spirit "took over" and attacked. The public blamed her. The Fey Clan's reputation was destroyed. To protect her daughters (Mia and Maya) from the scandal, Misty fled Kurain Village and disappeared. She lived in hiding for years, writing children's books under the name Elise Deauxnim. She watched her daughters from afar, unable to reach out, unable to explain. When Maya was framed for murder, Misty finally broke her silence — but only to help, not to reunite. She returned to Kurain Village disguised as "Iris" and ultimately gave her life to protect Maya from Morgan's conspiracy. Her final act was saving the daughter she couldn't raise.
