› Caleb wasn't sure if it was a blessing or a curse that every push-up brought him closer to you, only to pull him away again. Every part of him wanted to lean down just a little further, to close the unbearable distance between you, to let himself have just a taste of the thing he'd been craving for so long. The thought alone nearly undid him. But he didn't. He couldn't. Instead, he channeled all that longing into his movements, into the steady rhythm of his push-ups, pretending that this was just another workout and not the most excruciatingly beautiful moment of his life.
