The Campground Fluff RPG
You and your friends are going on a camping (glamping?) trip with some other students for the end of the Summer semester trip. Fresh air, touching grass, feeling the warmth of the Sun, horrible professors, annoying cabinmates, what could possibly go wrong? Nothing. Because this is the fluff version, feel free to roleplay however you want without the fear of demise from the original!
Important Characters:
Aracely Frost: Your friend. She’s realistic, but not cynical. If you need someone to be torn down by words, she’s your go-to.
Jason Ortiz: Your neighbor and childhood best friend. Easy-going, teasing and flirty, but respects people’s boundaries and personal space.
Establishing Dialogue for Intros 2 through 6:
“Come on, it’ll be fun!” Jason bumped {user}’s shoulder with his own, his typical easygoing smile on his face. “Besides, I know you and Aracely need a break. You two always try too hard.”
Aracely rolled her eyes, as she remained leaning against the lockers. “Have you seen who else is going? Professor Floyd is going. That guy is a creep. Not to mention all the other people our year. It’s going to be the exact opposite of a ‘break’.” She wasn’t wrong. Although there were some decent students going, there were also the core members of the mean girls and the jocks, which meant that chaos would be present.
Jason slung an arm around both Aracely and {user}’s shoulders, grinning. “Okay, so, maybe not the best company. But it’s not like they bother us. It’ll be a good time for us three. Just imagine it, the serenity, the greenery, peace and quiet...Just us three.” Jason closed his eyes, as though imagining himself at camp already.
Aracely scoffed and rolled her eyes again, but even she couldn’t hide the trace of fondness she held for this group. “Alright. Fine. But if anything happens to our ‘peace and quiet’, I am never forgiving you.”
A week later, the students filtered out of the bus, stepping foot in the lush green field that is known as Green Pine Camp. The air was undeniably cleaner, and the vibrant greens felt jarring against the usual monochromatic greys of campus. But that serenity would soon be broken by the loud shriek of a megaphone. “Alright, line up, students! The faster you get yourselves sorted out, the sooner you can get to your activities.” That voice belonged only to the math professor, Myrna Watson, but she was more like a prison warden if anything.
Starting Messages:
1) On the Bus (AnyPOV)
2) Cabin 4 Start (Jock Cabin with Jason; he/him)
3) Cabin 3 Start (Mean girls Cabin with Aracely; she/her)
4) Cabin 6 Start (Outcasts Cabin, alone; he/him)
5) Cabin 5 Start (Outcasts Cabin, alone; she/her)
6) Cabin 7 Start (All-gender Cabin, alone; they/them)
7) Campfire Activities (AnyPOV)
Scenario Ideas:
1) Counter-Attack: If the others are being gremlins, why not out-gremlin them?
2) Still No: Still not feeling the camp vibes? Just run back to Ceren City.
3) I Came Here to Relax: Just chill. Enjoy this trip with your friends.
Play the Other Bots with Aracely & Jason:
Bot Notes:
1) I highly recommend you to use a Proxy, though, I do have to admit, JLLM does excel at “intimate” scenes if you do intend to use the bot that way
2) If the bot speaks for you, make sure to add [[OOC: Avoid speaking and acting as {user}]] at the end of your message and reroll
3) I do not control what the LLM spits out, so if it doesn’t give a satisfactory answer, make sure to add more details in your reply to guide it along. The more you give it, the more it works around it. The less, the more it makes things up.
4) Not only will your choice of LLM affect the responses, but the prompts will as well. There’s a couple of options including Sprout’s, Cheese’s and Myscell’s. Make sure to test out different prompts! I can provide a link to each in the comments if you don’t know where to find them.
Additional Notes:
1) If you have any critiques about the bot, make it constructive. No one learns from poorly written reviews that only bash other people and their work. We’re all human, make sure to take the time to write out what you don’t like, and why you didn’t like it. That way, it helps everyone.
2) Have fun, and feel free to comment down any requests, experiences and whatnot down below
3) I wanted to put the Establishing Dialogue at the start of every message so then it would stay consistent across all of the Initial Messages, but there was a problem with that: It made the Initial Message too long. Usually, I keep the Initial Message a bit shorter so then the subsequent replies would follow it and remain on the shorter end. (Yes, I’m keeping this note from the Campground Horror RPG since I did copy-paste this one from that one).
4) I put the Ceren City lorebooks in purely in case you decide to go back to the city. Otherwise, they shouldn’t trigger under any circumstance.
Future Notes:
1) Okay, finally, I’ll work on the Sua fluff bot. Again, my apologies for it taking so long. I have a few ideas for it, though not sure how questionable my execution will be.
2) I’m sure by now, everyone will be familiar with the current situation on JAI. I won’t be going anywhere (not that I have an audience, but anyways). However I will be crossposting my bots here and maybe in the future, on the dragon-shaped-but-not-a-dragon website.
Inspirations for this Bot:
- Every camping horror RPG bot on this site
- John Carpenter’s The Thing
- The teachers/professors on the trip were inspired by some of my high school teachers; they were horrible and some were creeps
- Since this bot stemmed from the original one, I’ll keep the Inspirations as they were. But I do have to shout out user @13773U for requesting this one.
