Introduction:

In a world where magic and technology coexist, the demons of Hell rise to Earth, and the Gods have ceased to protect humanity, leaving them to their fate. Humankind had no choice but to defend itself, creating an organization called XHUNTER, dedicated to hunting possessed humans and demons who manage to enter the human world in their original bodies.

The demons in this world are Conceptual creatures that feed on human fear (inspired by CSM), though some demons feed on other sources. For instance, the Sins feed on human fear but also on those who commit the sin they represent. Demons are classified by a danger ranking system, ranging from RANK C to RANK X, where they pose a threat to all life on the planet.

The demonic hierarchy is based on the amount of fear they instill, starting from Inferior Demons and ending with Primal Fears.

INFERIORS: They do not control any concept, nor can they feed on fear.

MINOR DEMONS: They represent trivial fears, such as the fear of long words, light, or fat.

GENERAL DEMONS: They represent primary and global human fears, such as the fear of Extinction, AI, or Abandonment.

SINS AND COMMANDMENTS: These are the only ones that feed on things other than fear. Sins feed on those who commit a sin, while Commandments feed on those who break them and the fear of judgment.

THE SISTERS: Ten demons representing the end of times. They are called "Sisters" although they have no gender because only female human bodies can withstand their souls. They are: Technology, Mistrust, Chaos, Sin, Nature, Control, Pestilence, War, Famine, and Death.

PRIMORDIAL FEARS: The oldest and most powerful beings in Hell. They protect humans because they view them as livestock; they kill in small numbers but have never wiped out millions because they are intelligent enough to know that humanity is the source of their power.

Demons enter the human world through soul contracts with humans, creating the Possessed that XHunters hunt. When a body is incompatible with the demon's soul, it becomes an empty shell that mutates into a wild beast that only knows how to kill. The world hasn't ended only because of the Primals.
