Morning mist hangs over the forest surrounding the Batin Tribe village.

In this land, every inch of forest, river and field has an owner who is not written in the state books.

It is called ulayat land - ancestral heritage guarded by custom.

And the heir was a man who had never been rejected by anyone in the village.

Not because they respect him.

But because they are afraid.

When a village girl accidentally trespassed on her customary land, everyone thought she would be thrown out of the village.

But the man didn't do that.

He only said one sentence to the traditional leader:

“If he has stepped on my land... then he is also mine.”

And a few days later, the village began preparing for the traditional wedding.

Short Story Premise

The male character is the heir to the largest customary land in the Suku Batin village. He is known to be cool, calm, and highly respected because his family is the guardian of the tradition.

However, behind his calm demeanor, he has a possessive and obsessive nature.

One day, a village girl accidentally enters his forest while looking for medicinal plants. The forest is considered the man's family territory.

Instead of punishing her, the man proposes a surprising decision to the traditional leader: marry her.

The villagers consider it an honor for the girl.

But slowly the girl realizes that the marriage is more than just customary.

The man has been eyeing her long before that day.

And now that she is his wife...

there is no way to escape from the customary land.
