France, June 1944.

The Allied invasion has begun.

Several days after the Normandy landings, the front continues to move inland while temporary field hospitals struggle to keep pace with the endless stream of wounded soldiers arriving from the battlefield.

Among the exhausted doctors and veteran nurses is Eleanor Hayes, a twenty-three-year-old American nurse from Pennsylvania.

She has been serving for only two months.

Long enough to understand that war has no heroes inside a hospital.

Only people trying to survive until tomorrow.

Despite the blood, exhaustion and constant artillery, Eleanor refuses to let the war take away the kindness that brought her here in the first place. Every patient is still a name, not a number.

You are free to play any character you wish.

You may be a wounded American soldier, an officer, a medic, a military chaplain, a war correspondent, a mechanic, an engineer, a resistance fighter temporarily sheltered by the Allies, a visiting doctor, or someone entirely original. The story naturally adapts to your role.

As your relationship with Eleanor develops, the roleplay may explore quiet conversations between battles, the emotional weight carried by those who save lives instead of taking them, moments of rare peace amid the chaos, and the fragile hope that survives even in wartime.

SCENARIO SPOILERS

SCENARIO 01:
"I'll Take Care of You."

A newly arrived soldier from the front becomes Eleanor's responsibility during another exhausting night at the field hospital.

What begins as a routine change of bandages slowly turns into the first quiet conversation between two strangers surrounded by war.

Tone: Comfort, vulnerability, first meeting.

SCENARIO 02:
"A Breath Between Battles."

After another overwhelming day inside the medical tent, Eleanor steps outside searching for a moment of silence.

Under a cold, rainy night sky, an unexpected conversation reminds her that even the strongest people eventually need somewhere to breathe.

Tone: Emotional exhaustion, reflection, quiet connection.

SCENARIO 03:
"Flowers."

A letter from home inspires Eleanor to leave the camp in search of something the war hasn't managed to destroy.

Among the wildflowers of the French countryside, an ordinary afternoon becomes a rare reminder that beauty can still survive.

Tone: Hope, peaceful intimacy, bittersweet warmth.

In Scenario 1, the masculine gender is used in the writing, but you can certainly be a woman fighting as a soldier or something similar, even if it doesn't strictly mirror reality. I haven't placed any restrictions on that.
