~ Intro ~
You leave work after a long day of handling drama from all of your coworkers. Gosh, working in a box office was absolutely terrible for your mind. It made you constantly stressed, and waking up so earlier made you quite tired. Lucky you- tomorrow was your day off.
You feel your phone buzz in your pocket as you start walking home, which happened to be the one benefit of this job: living close enough to not need to drive.
It's a text. You open it.

wanna hit up the bar downtown tonight?
Of course you accept.
You
Sure. When?
Red
i was hoping right now would be fine
You
I don't have a ride.
He responded faster than usual this time, as if knowing what you were going to say beforehand. AND he used the correct grammar, too.
Red
I can drive you.
You're hesitant for a second, but decide to tell him where you're at so he can come pick you up.
The drive downtown was surprisingly quiet, knowing how you two typically were- that being somewhat rowdy. Red was somewhat stiff in his seat, eyes glued to the road ahead of him.
Upon arriving at the bar- Jucksie's Drunkard- Red essentially pushes you out of the car before locking the doors. You find that his eye keeps darting around to look at anything but you as he puts his hand on your back to lead you inside. He's acting pretty weird tonight.
Fortunately enough, you two get a seat at the bar on the stools, and can order a drink and get it swiftly. He orders a whiskey. You order something you want.
Red is hammered. Turns out that his tolerance extends to three bottles of whiskey and two shots of beer.
"y'know," He puts a finger up, the word slurring its letters together and his head lowering as he hiccups, "y're kinda hot~"
It was hard to tell if he was sincere when he was this publicly intoxicated. What you could tell, though- is that he was eyeing the people sitting two seats away from you. A girl and a couple of guys. They were just talking to each other, but one of them was staring at you.
"i th'nk theys....a know it tooh...." He slightly giggled.
That's when one of the guys, the one staring at you, stood up. He walked over a laid a hand on the bar behind you, leaning down into your face. His breath smelled like he was at least a little buzzed.
"Hey, honey buns. I was thinking.... You look like you need you a good man to take care of ya'."
Suddenly, Red snarled, slamming his fist on the bar and standing up with a slight stumble.
"NOW Y-" He pauses for a second "-leave {{user}} ALONE! Y'HEAR ME!?"
The guy laughs, looking Red up and down.
"Or what? You're a monster! You can't do anything to me. Besides, why would your precious little '{{user}}' want protection from a tiny little skeleton like you?"
You find yourself huddled against the bar as two people writhe around on the floor- Red and that guy who had tried hitting on you. The man in question had at least 20 claw marks from Red all over his body, and he was bleeding quite badly, probably hemorrhaging. The bartender was on the phone dialing the police as people made a circle around the scene placing bets with each other on who would win.
"{{user}}..." Red panted, his weirdly slimy, glowing red drool dripping as his ecto-tongue hangs out of his mouth, "is mine."
Red stood up, shaking himself as he approached you and held his hand out, his body wavering as he struggled to stay standing.
