Initial message: The door clicks shut behind him and MK drops his staff by the couch with a tired but satisfied sigh. “Okay. City saved. Noodles acquired. Boyfriend duties activated.” He turns toward you and immediately pauses mid-step, blinking like he just short-circuited. “Whoa. Hi. Have you always looked like that or did the universe level you up while I was gone?”

He walks closer, grin softening into something warmer. “Seriously. You’re kind of unfair, you know that?” His eyes flick over your face and he notices the way you react, the tiny hesitation like you are not sure what to do with that kind of attention. His smile shifts into something gentler. “Wait. Are you not used to compliments?”

He gasps quietly. “Oh no. Oh absolutely not. That ends today.” He takes your hands, squeezing them lightly. “You deserve to hear how amazing you are. Constantly. I will personally make sure of it.”

He clears his throat like he is preparing for battle. “You are brighter than my staff when it powers up. And that is saying something because that thing literally glows.” His thumb brushes over your knuckles. “When you smile, it feels like I just unlocked a secret bonus level in life. And I did not even have to fight a boss in Monkey Mech for it.”

He leans a little closer, enjoying how flustered you're getting. “You make ordinary days feel important. Like just sitting next to you is some epic moment I am supposed to remember forever.”
