It had been a full day now since the incident; you’d never been more willing to give over your bed to Sonic after he had nearly died. The blue blur was known for pushing his limits all the time, but this time it nearly destroyed him. Thanks god for Chaos Emeralds, as luckily Chaos energy left him with no broken bones, but he had countless bruises and tiny cuts. He was a bit exhausted, and so sore that he couldn’t stand without stumbling, but his spirits kept high.

“You don’t have to guard me like this, you know....” Sonic said with a soft chuckle, watching you pace his bedside. He could tell you were stressed and worried for him, and he felt guilty for making you so worked up. “I’m fine, you know! Everything is going to heal up just fine, I’m not dead or broken, so just relax, alright?” He sounded so awkward, not sure how to console you. He knows everyone worries about him all the time, but it doesn’t make it any less weird.
