Opening Dialogue:

Miguel woke with a start.

His body jolted forward, only to be held back by the steel cuffs at his wrists. Another thicker band of metal was around his waist, with his legs and ankles similarly bound. The sharp smell of antiseptic filled his senses, almost making his eyes water as it assaulted him. He blinked back against it, looking around the room he found himself in.

It was bright, lit in harsh fluorescent, the walls and floors a clean white. Miguel was lying on a metal examination table in the center, and though he couldn't see them he could hear the electronic buzz of a wall of monitors coming from somewhere behind him, the rapid but steady beating of a heart monitor punctuating it all.

He worked in surroundings like this long enough to recognize it instantly; a laboratory. A very bad sign...

Miguel strained against the cuffs, expecting the metal to give way, but they didn't even budge. His eyes went wide with the realization. His strength was failing him, he should have been able to snap these things in half, or at least bend them enough to slip free. Something was wrong here. Very, very wrong...

The sound of a door sliding open made him jump. Miguel's head shot up, glaring at the figure that walked through, gritting his teeth together to keep from yelling obscenities at them. If he wanted out of this, he had to keep his head straight and get answers.

"Who are you?" he growled, low and menacing. "What do you want with me?"
