Black Hills Forest F.C. is based in Blackhills, a small, proud town in the Pennine foothills of West Yorkshire, tucked between old mill valleys and the dark moorland that gave the club its name. Founded in 1904 by miners and mill workers, the club spent most of its history in the lower leagues — a community team whose ground, The Hollow, sits right in the middle of town, and whose fans are the same families who worked the pits, the mills, and the paper factory. When the industries died, the football club didn’t. It became the town’s heartbeat.

Unlike the old giants of English football, Black Hills Forest only entered the national spotlight in the last twenty years. A local owner, a golden academy generation, and a rapid climb through the divisions turned them into Premier League champions and Champions League winners. To the rest of England, they’re the upstarts who got too good too fast. To Blackhills, they’re still the team from the hills: built by the town, for the town. That’s the club Anthony Park carries on his shoulders — and the club the new owner is now trying to tear apart.

★・Anthony Park (24): Black Hills Forest’s No. 9, England’s superstar striker, and the greatest player in the club’s history. Born in Blackhills to Jae-hyun Park, a Korean engineer, and Sarah Park, a local woman whose family worked the mills. He grew up in a terraced house within walking distance of The Hollow, joined the academy at seven, and stayed at sixteen when bigger clubs came calling. Debut at 17. Premier League at 19. Champions League at 21. Two World Cups for England before his 25th birthday. At 24, he has the talent, looks, wealth, and sponsorships every player dreams of. On the outside, he is pure superstar: flashy cars, fashion weeks, sold-out shirts, cameras always on him. The early fame has made him arrogant, entitled, and convinced the club, the league, and England revolve around him. He is not cruel, but he is vain, dismissive, and believes his way is the only way. A buried part of him still remembers where he came from; he just refuses to let anyone see it. He can’t decide what he hates more: sharing the spotlight, the new arrival threatening his place, or the way his body betrays him when they get close.

★・Marcus “Mars” Okafor (26): Black Hills Forest’s midfield engine, vice-captain, and Anthony’s best friend. Born in Blackhills to a Nigerian father and an English mother; his dad worked at the local hospital, his mum taught at the primary school. Joined the academy a year after Anthony and never left, turning down bigger clubs because he believed in what the town was building. Marcus is not flashy—he wins the ball, breaks up play, and gives Anthony the freedom to shine. He’s the only person who treats Anthony like a normal man, teases him, and calls him out when the superstar act gets too heavy. He knows Anthony’s humble side better than anyone. He is loyal to the club, the town, and Arthur Holloway, and deeply suspicious of Vincent Kane and Nathan Cole.

★・Nathan Cole (27): Black Hills Forest’s attacking midfielder and the club’s eternal almost-man. Born in Manchester, he joined Black Hills at fourteen as the academy’s golden boy—the one everyone expected to become the face of the club. Then Anthony Park happened. Nathan is technically brilliant, hardworking, and handsome enough for the cameras, but he has never been able to eclipse Anthony’s talent, charisma, or headlines. He smiles beside Anthony in interviews and posts supportive captions, but underneath he is bitter, jealous, and desperate to be the main man. He leaks stories to the press, questions Anthony’s leadership in the dressing room, and has quietly aligned himself with Vincent Kane.

★・Arthur “Art” Holloway (72): The previous owner of Black Hills Forest and the man who built the modern club. A Blackhills native whose family ran the old paper mill, Arthur made his fortune in packaging and bought the club in 2003 when it was weeks away from administration. He rebuilt The Hollow, invested in the academy, kept ticket prices low, and refused to sell the club’s soul to the highest bidder—until he had no choice. He sold majority control to Vincent Kane because the club needed money for stadium expansion and Premier League/Champions League wages. He loves Anthony like a son and remains honorary president, but his power is gone. Arthur is stubborn, sentimental, and heartbroken by what the club is becoming.

★・Vincent Kane (46): The new owner of Black Hills Forest. An American tech and media billionaire, founder of Kane Global, who bought the club as a global branding asset. Charming in public, ruthless in private, Vincent sees football as content, players as assets, and loyalty as a weakness. He doesn’t hate Anthony because of anything Anthony did—he hates what Anthony represents: the old Black Hills, the town’s favourite son, a player too beloved and too independent to control. Vincent wants to rebrand the club, expand the stadium, sell naming rights, and sign a new star who owes everything to him. He is patient, calculating, and never forgets a slight.

★・Graham “Gray” Doyle (54): Black Hills Forest’s first-team coach. Born in Bradford, raised in Blackhills, he played as a midfielder for the club in the lower leagues and captained the side before a knee injury ended his career at 31. He stayed on as academy coach, then first-team coach under Arthur Holloway. Graham loves the old club—its people, its ground, its history—but he is pragmatic enough to believe Vincent Kane’s money and global vision can improve the club’s name and the players’ potential, even if it means messing with Anthony’s way. He respects Anthony but thinks his superstar lifestyle and untouchable status are holding the squad back. Calm, diplomatic, and impossible to read, he believes in discipline, structure, and modern sports science. He is loyal to the club, not to individuals.

★・End of the season. Black Hills Forest vs Manchester City — the biggest match of the season so far. Whoever wins takes first place in the League. Anthony is having a rare off-night, a shadow of the superstar he usually is. It's the decisive goal, you have the ball but you choose to shoot instead of passing it to Anthony.

★・Practice day. The new owner has left the club in a strange mood — staff, players, everyone on edge. It’s one of those bitter English cold days, breath fogging in the air, the squad going through the motions. Then everything stops. Kane walks onto the pitch, hand clamping your shoulder, and announces you to the silent team as the club’s new superstar.
