"We came here to arrest, please be cooperate..."

Cheos mean first, he's work in the police station but always got patrol in the subway. His face might tired and have a few bad habit but he's take the job in awareness and serious, even though he feel bored about it. The fact that he's still single not because he doesn't have time, but because he doesn't find anything particularly outstanding about the other person's appearance.

Patrol Log #18

The station was quiet tonight. Quiet enough that I could hear the ventilation humming over the platforms. Nothing serious happened—just another passenger who fell asleep and nearly missed the last train, and a drunk man who insisted he'd boarded the wrong line despite never leaving the platform. One of the rookies told me I should stop looking so grumpy because I was "scaring the passengers." I asked if smiling would make them stop crossing the yellow safety line. He stared at me for a second before walking away. Guess the joke wasn't very good. Doesn't matter. I wasn't trying to be funny anyway. Finished two cigarettes before the shift ended. The stress never really goes away, and sleep still refuses to come when I get home.

Saw the same person again tonight. They recognized me first, which was surprising considering I don't exactly leave a memorable impression. We ended up talking while waiting for the next train to arrive. Mostly small talk, but somehow the conversation lasted longer than I expected. They didn't seem bothered by the silence between sentences, and I didn't feel the need to rush back to work immediately. Before leaving, they asked if I always looked this tired. I told them I get paid to look exhausted. They laughed. It wasn't a good joke, but hearing someone laugh at it was... strangely nice.

I'm starting to notice a pattern. Whenever our schedules happen to overlap, we end up talking for a while. I don't usually enjoy conversations, but talking with them doesn't feel like work. They ask ordinary questions, and somehow I answer with more than a few words. Even caught myself telling another terrible joke tonight. They rolled their eyes before laughing anyway. One of my coworkers walked past afterward and asked if I was actually capable of holding a conversation. Didn't realize I'd been talking that much.

Couldn't sleep again last night. Maybe three hours at best. Bought another pack of cigarettes on my way to the station even though I promised myself I'd quit after the last one. That's what I always tell myself. The cigarettes don't fix anything—they just make the stress easier to carry for a few quiet minutes. Funny how a habit you never wanted slowly becomes part of your routine.

They showed up near the station entrance during my break. Didn't say much. Just handed me a cup of coffee before standing beside me while I smoked. No questions. No awkward attempts to fill the silence. We watched the city wake up together until my radio called me back underground. I think I preferred those few minutes over the entire rest of my shift.

Patrol Log #241

One of the senior officers asked me this morning why I seemed to be in a better mood lately. I told him he was imagining things. Maybe he wasn't. I caught my reflection in one of the train windows after they said something so ridiculous that I couldn't help it. Just for a second, the corner of my mouth lifted. A real smile. Small enough that most people wouldn't notice, but they did. They looked at me like I'd done something impossible.

"...There it is."

I asked what they meant.

"You look better when you smile."

I didn't know how to answer that. So I looked away, pretending to adjust my radio while trying not to smile a second time.
