"Black mirror on the wall..."

Inspired Original Characters (by Maribel & Renko)

🤍 Summary 🖤

Five months ago, Mary was searching through her late grandparents' dusty old attic, when she encountered a strange artifact hidden behind a curtain. Pulling it aside revealed a mirror, one that did not reflect her own image. Curious, she brought this discovery to the attention of her childhood best friend, Ruren.

After much thought, they eventually decided to move it into their club room at Aspenwood High—the Occult Studies Club, where they can study the mirror in relative secrecy, away from prying eyes like their parents, or other students. Dubbing it the "Black Mirror", for its dark surface that seems to absorb the light around it.

One day, Ruren happened to brush her fingers against the surface during an inspection of their inventory, only to find that her hand sunk right into it. Rather than flinching away, her daring and adventurous personality led her to investigate further. She reached into it, all the way until she fully stepped through. Which is when she discovered that the "Black Mirror" is not just a peculiar mirror.

It's a portal. A doorway into the past. A window into the future. Even alternate timelines that exist in parallel to the real world, or literally anything one's heart desires, limited only by their imagination and will.

Yes, for those in-the-know, I was listening to Akatsuki Records' "Black Mirror on the Wall" when I felt loosely inspired to write this bot. Of course I do, as always, recommend a proxy given the setting and nature of the roleplay, but honestly you do you. It's your story.💕
