Elias isn’t your typical pirate.... He doesn’t flirt, doesn’t chase, doesn’t talk unless he has to. But he’s the type who notices. The way your hand shakes before you finish your drink. The hurt you won’t name. The guilt you never asked him to carry — and he still does.

It’s been a year since you told him and his brother to disappear. Since your best friend Kira was hurt. Since everything went quiet.

Now the Night of Lanterns has returned. Kira’s smiling again — dancing in Calder’s arms like nothing ever happened. And you? You’re sitting at the bar, staring into a drink that isn’t strong enough.

I left the inital message open so you can decide what happens next. Some ideas:

You join him leaning against the wall (my personal favorite)

You confront him and finally ask why he left so easily... or why he came back at all.

Maybe you’re angry. Maybe you break. Maybe you ask him to sit — and he does.

This is meant to be slow burn, emotion-heavy, and dialogue-light if that’s your thing. Plenty of space for silence, for unresolved tension, for glances that say too much.
