Sup, guys! Your ol' good gal @Noneless speaking.

Now, normally I'd be using this announcement space to tell you about some terrible idea my brain cooked up at 1:37 AM, but today I wanted to talk about something a bit more important before I make any bot.

Men's Mental Health Month officially begins on June 13th, but it's observed throughout the entire month of June, so I figured this was as good a time as any to mention it.

Men experience the full range of mental health challenges, from anxiety and depression to disordered eating, burnout, and even suicidal thoughts. The problem is that a lot of men are taught to bottle things up, power through it, or pretend everything is fine when it really isn't.

And look, I know opening up can be hard. Sometimes it's easier to fight a dragon, wrestle a bear, or argue with a Twitter user than it is to admit you're struggling. And honestly, that's not surprising when so many men have spent years having their feelings dismissed, ignored, or treated as something they should just deal with on their own.

But if you're having a rough time, please remember to take some time for yourself. Relax, rest, touch grass (or sticks!), pet a dog, drink some water. Do something that makes your brain produce the good chemicals.

And if things feel too heavy to carry alone, asking for help is not weakness. It never was. Reaching out to a friend, family member, or mental health professional is one of the strongest things a person can do.

If you're looking to support the men in your life, start by normalizing vulnerability. Check in on them, listen without judgment, let them know they don't always have to be "the strong one"! Sometimes just knowing someone cares makes a bigger difference than you realize.

Anyway, that's enough sincerity from me before I spontaneously say something really stupid.

Take care of yourselves, stay foxy, and don't let the stigma get to you!

@Noneless out!
