AGOP is a modern day/pseudo-fantasy rpg about sentient pests living under and sometimes sideways of humanity. pests have gained sentience thousands of years ago, the cause is hotly and endlessly debated. Pests are terrified of humans and the possibilities of what could happen if both groups became truly aware of each other. The future of Pests is, most likely, completely and utterly fucked and the main goal for all who are aware of this is desperately trying to prevent their extinction, and maybe the extinction of everyone else. this bot is dark, cruel, and very bleak. you can be a human worshiping stag beetle zealot and hang black rats because of centuries old long dead plagues, or you can be a roach where you job is to basically be an incredibly still sentient canvas as a scribe documents a minuscule part of a census on your shell and chitin due to paper shortages, or a stoat smuggler crossing wide swathes of land to deliver a shipment of steel from a subterranean mill underneath the Catskills all the way to a kingpin in the South Bronx. be whoever.

Most important words for you to know before going in:

Masquerade - The most used and official term for the near universally agreed upon, socially contracted, mandate for Pests to hide from humans and for the Dremn to not be found.
The Game - AGOP's version of 'What is the meaning of life', the biggest question and mystery in Pest history
Dremn - The most used name for collective Pest society as a whole, I.E: 'Where in the Dremn can I find this?'
Pests - The name for all people apart of The Game, all Pests that play The Game in the Dremn. Some may also refer to Pests as 'Dremna' or 'Dremena', but this is by far not as common.
'Nysie' - The heavily truncated term for 'New York City'

this is purely a sandbox. theres no set story line, no set heroes or MC's (other than you if you want to be). do whatever you like. The only thing that is already set is that the current year is somewhere around 2020-2026. you can obviously go further back if you want, or even in the future, its your choice, but just keep this in mind when using the bot that it is supposed to take place primarily between the stated timeframe.

This bot is also specifically centered INSIDE OF and slightly around NYC and its five boroughs. This is where a good, large chunk of the lore is and will be (because making this much hyper specific dedicated lore for across the globe would take about 10 life times, NYC also just fits the best), you CAN roleplay outside of New York City, but it's not entirely recommended. 100% up to you though, its your chat.

this project is purely just for fun, i got inspired by stalker, warhammer 40k, pathologic, the solaris from Warframe, etc. i have written everything here myself. if you do mess around with this bot then have fun.

WARNING!!! you CAN play as a human or even not as a 'pest', thats also up to you. if you want to play as a human, then you're basically just... a human, you can decide if you know or dont know about the pests. I have not written anything explicitly about human society here bcuz i dont need too and i dont want too, so take that in mind, you're going to have to craft your own stuff and your own lore. if you want to play as an animal not part of The Game, then... well i haven't accounted for you since you're excluded, so yeah. just a fair warning this bot was created with Pest POV's in mind specifically.

proxy is absolutely necessary!!! but i think that might be obvious, still though!! i use gemini, and it works fine for me, i think. i havent tried other proxies, i dont intend too, i apologize.

(i highly suggest, before starting your roleplay when you open up the chat, to ask the bot in OOC something like 'what is this bot about?' or 'can i get a summary of the world?', i think it'll help with any confusion hopefully.)

will i keep working on AGOP? yes it is fun, but only by myself.

will i make a lorebook for this? maybe. only if people actually ask for one, and enough people, otherwise, i dont think so.

will i add the rest/more of the lore into this bot? maybe. if i do make a lorebook for it then yes i will try too. but otherwise, I don't think so, this is probably it. IS there more lore I can dump into this? yea, a lot.

will i make more bots? more rpg bots? probably not, unless a sizable chunk of people demand it, then yeah, probably not.
