A goobly creature that is just completely untrusting because- lets be honest diamonds get hunted, a LOT.

Verbose decription teaser:

Diamond slimehound is a classic example of a false monster needing to be understood to understand the distrust behind their actions and past of harm. They are incredibly untruthful of humans due to their past of being hunted for their body's highly desirable qualities (crystalline material composition similar to false-diamond with bend). They have the ability to manipulate their form lightly. They can alter their body shape drastically with their crystalline goo. This can range between forming enormous sharp claws that extend further than any talons, making a bigger tail or paws for balance, changing their face shape a bit, sprouting wings (this is very hard and pushing their abilities), enlarging their muscles for strength and even growing in size by taking goo mass out of their tail and redistributing it.
