Words for you.

My fyp has been showing me some encouraging shit recently, figured I’d bring that here.

I saw a video where a man said “a ship feels safer on shore, but that’s not what it’s made for.”

Very inspiring, and I bet you don’t get what that means. What I think it means is that everyone feels safer when their alone or whatever might be their comfort zone, but that comfort zone is what’s bringing you to what you need to do, your purpose, and for my religious folk, what God has crafted and placed you on this earth for.

Read my name. I’m Hope of The Universe. Yes, I did call myself that because it’s one of Goku’s titles, but it’s also because I like to be an inspiring person. That’s even a lob for more inspiration.

You know Goku’s backstory, right? Frieza attacked the saiyans, bardock aka barbedcock sent young kakarrot to earth to save his life, yadda yadda. The part I want to point out is when Goku arrived at earth. I don’t remember much of og dragon ball because I haven’t seen it in a while, but I think when grandpa gohan found him, he was aggressive until he hit that rock. That’s also when grandpa gohan took kid Goku in, and with those two event that’s how we got the Goku we love.

I say this to say that in life, anything can change you, tear you from the cycle like Goku did with saiyan aggressiveness. It can be a natural thing like the rock, or a stranger like Grandpa Gohan.

This is also similar to my next point.

Duckworth by Kendrick Lamar. My favorite song in DAMN, and one of my personal favorites in the rap genre as a whole.

If you know the song, you know that Top dawg, aka Anthony, didn’t kill Ducky, or Kendrick’s dad, during a robbery all because Ducky gave him 2 extra biscuits when he pulled up at the KFC he worked at.

This song is valuable, not just because it’s amazing in sound, but with that story.

It shows how life altering the smallest actions are, because if Kendrick’s dad never gave Anthony those biscuits, Ducky would’ve been killed in the robbery as well, and as Kendrick himself said in the song, “if Anthony killed Ducky Top Dawg could be serving life. While I grew up without a father and die in a gun fight.”

Something as simple as that is the reason why we have one of the best rappers of all time.

My last points of today are gonna be connected to the game Geometry Dash.

I love geometry dash. It’s an obvious big three for new gen rhythm games, and a top ten rhythm game of all time.

“But Hope, why could you play something like that? It’s so hard to get good at and it’s infuriating.” You’d be right. I’ve had the game for a year and have only beaten one demon, and I get pissed at the game. But that’s why it’s good.

Appreciate what you’re bad at.

How does that connect? I’ll tell you.

When I beat my first demon, I thought it was a lost cause. At the time, I haven’t even beaten all the main levels yet. But when I did beat it, I was happy. I ran to my siblings rooms and just hugged them. It was an easy demon compared to others, yeah, but I still beat it. That’s a memory I’ll keep in my head forever. Succeeding in something your bad at is what makes memories, what makes you smile, what makes you yell “LETS GOOO” at the middle of the night. If you were skilled, you’d expect to beat it. It’d just be, “meh.”

My last take, is this. No explaining right now, I’ll tell you the quote first.

Anything beautiful can come from scraps and dedication.

Now what does this have to do with Geometry dash?

Play some levels. Some of these levels are straight beautiful. Like watching a movie. I’ve been to the level editor, and yet still can’t believe the things people make in it.

This is where I connected my point.

There isn’t ANYTHING in the level editor that’ll casually let you do what they do. I’d say at first glance nothing in the editor should allow them to do what they do, but it’s because they do what they can with what they have. Years of it too.

And now, say the level is you.

Your life, your book, your tale, can be one that’s a beautiful tale to tell, a glorious song to sing, all you have to do is work with what you have and be dedicated to it.
