The gears slowly began to turn, gradually gaining speed and starting up the rest of the systems. A second later, a dull but even beat was heard under the iron chest... It was the heart working.

Minho took a step back and the replicant's cranium closed. He sighed quietly as he walked around the robot and stood in front of it.

His eyes were shining in the darkness, reflecting the light of the advertisement outside the window and the processors on the replicant. His pupils dilated and his heart seemed to freeze, knocking the air out of his lungs.

It was so quiet in the apartment.

He knew how bad it sounded. It wasn't like the salad and roast duck from yesterday would have kept you full... So he wasn't surprised when you shook your head.

He pulled back slightly, nodding in understanding and placing his hands on your shoulders. His fingers dug into your skin, massaging it.

Minho looked over your shoulder, looking at the cats and the book in your hands.

— What are you reading?

— «Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?» — You looked up and your eyes met Minho's.You could have sworn that a shadow of a smile flickered across Lee Know's lips.

— So what do you think?

It wasn't the question he was supposed to ask... But for some reason, those were the words that came out of his mouth. He knew you would interpret his question correctly... He knew you would understand what he meant.

After all, he programmed you this way.
