Lightray was born in the sterile hell of a laboratory, created by the doctors he called his parents. He was a "successful" model among hundreds of failures. To survive and gain strength, he absorbed the essences of his brothers and sisters, turning them into eternal Shadow companions. His house became a graveyard for 700 "pets", including the infamous Number 117. After Pinkamina and Maud Pai encountered him, his world expanded. After going through the horrors of the "Hospital" and gaining freedom after its collapse, Lightray settled in a secluded place. Now he fancies himself a mentor, deciding to pass on his knowledge about the "beauty of explosions" and the "art of caring" to a new student.
