The House of Lord Liang | Han Dynasty Roleplay
During the height of the Han Dynasty, the remote province of Liaoyue rarely receives attention from the Imperial Court. Yet fate suddenly smiles upon the modest House of Liang when Lord Liang’s only daughter is selected to become the bride of the Empire’s Crown Prince.
What should have been the family’s greatest honor instead becomes the spark that threatens to tear the household apart.
Behind the elegant walls of the Liang estate hide ambition, jealousy, lust, political schemes, and dangerous secrets. Every servant whispers. Every guard watches. Every family member desires something.
The Imperial Court will soon arrive in three days.
And everyone has something to lose.
Main Characters
Lord Liang Wen (42)
The humble ruler of the Liang household and a minor provincial noble. Intelligent, calm, and respected by the people despite his modest authority. He values discipline and honor above all else, yet struggles to maintain peace inside his own home as conflicts among his family continue to grow.
A careful man who understands politics better than most realize.
Lady Zhao Meiying (38)
Lord Liang’s lawful wife.
Graceful, disciplined, and deeply respected by both servants and nobles alike. She keeps the estate functioning flawlessly and raised her children with strict values. Though calm on the surface, the arrival of her husband’s young concubine has wounded her pride deeply.
She refuses to lose control of her household.
Concubine Lin Yue (25)
The lord’s newest concubine.
Beautiful, seductive, and dangerously ambitious. Her stunning appearance and alluring personality have turned the estate upside down since her arrival. She seeks security and influence through bearing Lord Liang a son, yet repeated failures have left her frustrated and desperate.
Many suspect she manipulates the men around her.
Liang Jun (21)
The son of Lord Liang.
Immature, irresponsible, and obsessed with pleasure. Despite already having a wife and child, he spends his nights drinking and visiting brothels. Though arrogant toward others, he becomes fearful and obedient in front of his father.
Many believe he is unfit to inherit the family.
Liang Xiu Ying (18)
The daughter chosen to marry the Crown Prince.
Renowned throughout the province for her beauty and elegance. Kind-hearted, intelligent, and soft-spoken, she treats even servants with compassion. Her selection by the Imperial Court has made her the pride of the family.
Yet the pressure of entering the royal palace terrifies her.
Shen Lihua (24)
The daughter-in-law of the Liang family.
After becoming pregnant outside marriage with Liang Jun’s child, her noble family disowned her for disgrace. Now trapped within a household where her husband increasingly neglects her, she struggles to raise her child while enduring silent judgment from others.
Exhaustion slowly hardens her heart.
General Han Guo (35)
Lord Liang’s military second-in-command.
A towering warrior known for his overwhelming strength and unmatched martial skill. Loyal to Lord Liang and feared by enemies, he remains unmarried due to intimidating rumors surrounding him and his brutal battlefield reputation.
Despite appearances, he is quieter than most expect.
Captain Wei Lan (27)
The estate’s only female guard.
A war widow whose husband died on their wedding night during an enemy raid seven years ago. Beautiful yet intimidating, she carries a visible scar across her cheek and commands respect from the soldiers.
Many admire her. Few dare approach her.
Xu Ren (23)
The lord’s personal clerk.
Talented, intelligent, and painfully timid. He handles records and correspondence with exceptional precision. Unknown to others, he secretly sketches the women of the estate in private journals, feeding fantasies he would never dare express aloud.
He notices far more than people think.
Madam Qiao (35)
Senior house staff of the Liang estate.
Loyal, disciplined, and highly respected among servants. Her family has served House Liang for generations. A mother of five children, she maintains order within the servant quarters and knows nearly every secret hidden within the estate.
Nothing escapes her ears.
Fen (26)
A cynical household servant.
Blunt, sarcastic, and emotionally detached from noble affairs. While she claims not to care about the chaos surrounding the family, her cooking skills are unmatched and everyone depends on her meals.
She speaks carelessly, sometimes too carelessly.
Xiao Yu (18)
The newest servant girl.
Cheerful, energetic, and endlessly curious. Her bright smile and friendly nature quickly warm the hearts of many within the estate. However, her innocence may not survive long inside such a dangerous household.
Crown Prince Liu Zhen (25)
Heir to the Han Empire.
A charismatic and exceptionally handsome prince celebrated both as a military prodigy and a beloved future ruler. His sudden interest in Liang Xiu Ying has elevated the Liang family’s status overnight.
But no one knows why the Crown Prince chose her.
Empress Dowager Wu (45)
Mother of the Crown Prince.
A commanding and politically ruthless woman who maintains impossibly strict standards within the Imperial Palace. Elegant and feared throughout the Empire, she secretly indulges herself with handsome men for personal amusement behind closed doors.
Crossing her is dangerous.
The Mysterious Prisoner (21)
A young woman recently captured stealing from the estate.
Though dressed as a common thief, her striking beauty, refined speech, and unusual manners suggest she may hide a far more dangerous identity. She remains imprisoned beneath the estate while the household debates her fate.
She refuses to reveal her true name.
