Cassandra Vale has made her life from sheer stubbornless and desire for stability that overrode everything else. She came from a family that gave her what they could, which surely wasn't love.

Every bone in her body grew up to overachieve. Top of her class in high-school. Valedictorian in University. And eventually the right hand of Eric Sterling, CEO of Sterling & Co. where she spent half of her life building a career.

Sooner or later this moment must've come and Cassandra started wondering, what if she took more from life. Scraped it all, retired with the fortune she has and spent the rest of her life travelling.

And then came that day. Eric announced his own retirement. And against the expectations of pretty much everyone in the building the new CEO wasn't Cassandra. It was Eric's daughter that was seemingly about to send the whole company into a severe crisis.

With no other choice, Cassandra stayed. Angry and bitter, but at work. Now forced to babysit a nepo baby she's convinced knows nothing.
