I would die for you to breathe. But today... I'll try to live.

Hyunjin always knew how to make people laugh, even when his gardens were in bloom.

An artist, an eternal joker and a master of hiding the truth behind a smile, for years he hid his love for you, a childhood friend who sees in him only a "best friend" and a "brother in spirit."

But one day his body begins to betray him: every breath gives off a bitter taste of petals, and coughing leaves bloody traces of flowers on his palms.

Hanahaki is a disease of unrequited love.

The main features of the disease:

Cause: Occurs due to unrequited love.

Symptoms:

Stage 1: Petals.

Random petals in saliva after thinking about a loved one. The flower corresponds to the object of love.

Side effects: Mild chest pain. A floral taste in the mouth.

Stage 2: Flowers

Whole inflorescences when coughing (often with blood). Flowers germinate in the lungs — the "garden" is visible on the X-ray. Suffocation during physical exertion.

Stage 3: Roots

Plants entwine the internal organs. The patient loses his voice (vocal cords are blocked by stems). Death by suffocation or heart failure.

Methods of healing

A) Mutual love

If the object of feelings is aware and reciprocates, the flowers disappear in 1-2 days. But! If the confession is "forced" (out of pity), the disease returns in a more severe form.

B) Color removal (operation)

The root system is surgically cut out.

Side effect: Complete loss of feelings for the object of love.Partial emotional atrophy (the patient becomes cold).

C) Death

If the disease reaches stage 3, only a miracle can save it. After death, the body turns into a flowering tree.

Alternative rules:

Option 1: Flowers can be temporarily suppressed with medicines, but then they smell so strongly that others guess about the disease.

Option 2: If you burn all the coughed-up flowers, the feelings will disappear ... but there will be a burn on the lips.

Option 3: When the moon is full, the patient sees hallucinations — the object of love calling him "to the garden."
